The Nashville Craft Mafia

The first Craft Mafia was founded in 2003 by nine crafty buisness women in Austin, TX. The group originally came together through a shared love for craft, DIY ethics and mutual respect. As the Craft Mafia developed it became a forum for networking, promotion and shared ideas. Since it's development in Austin, other Mafias have popped up accross the globe.

Our group was established in June of 2006 by Lauren Briggs and Amy Culbertson. It started off as a dream of ours to get all our crafty friends together and accomplish great things as a group.

As of now we put on three shows a year:

The Revolution of Craft: Our first, and largest show, is held the first Saturday in March. It is a juried event with approximately 55 vendors.

Tennessee State Fair: This year we were able to aquire some space in the Creative Arts Building at the Tennessee State Fair in September, and have been invited to come back next year to do it bigger and better.

Rock Your Stocking: In the winter we will host our first annual winter show which is an unjuried event of approximately 50 vendors and is currenlty being held at The Jamison Hall in The Factory in Franklin.

Our group is open to anyone who has a DIY interest and would like to join. For more informaion please click the Join tab at the top of the page.

Monthly Meetings: We try to have a meeting every month. Sometimes our schedules just don't allow it, but the more member participation = more meetings!
